Finance Manager

Job Description Job Summary The Manager, Financials will be responsible for overseeing the day to day Finance & Accounting functions for assigned group to ensure compliance and provide effective reporting and analysis for effective business decisions. Job Responsibilities Reporting Assist in the creation of the annual plan and quarterly forecasts for assigned group Coordinate with senior accountants on the completion of quarterly auditschedules Provide timely and accurate preparation of financial statement packages. Assist in the preparation of analysis and dashboard reporting for leaders   Analysis Distribute and communicate financial results to Regional Operations Managers.  Produce and analyze monthly and quarterly variance reports  Compliance Manage the revenue recognition process in compliance with contract terms  Review, understand and ensure compliance and proper accounting for transaction deals Maintain internal control processes and standards and ensure the compliance of the group Leadership Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience Other Leads work and is accountable for success of large projects Any and all other duties and tasks assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education/training BS in Accounting   Demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PeopleSoft MBA preferred Years of relevant experience 4-6 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting role(s) required Skills and knowledge Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines Unquestionable technical skills Ability to read and comprehend associated legal documents  Has led Finance or Business specific projects, directing Associates; Can lead a variety of projects across multiple  disciplines/businesses Other abilities Excellent written and oral communication skills Positive attitude and the ability to quickly respond to co-workers and clients Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills A highly motivated self-starter who works well independently Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills Certifications/licenses CPApreferred Physical work requirements and work conditions Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
