Manager, Client Accounting

Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This position oversees and is responsible for all activities in the shared services department, including the accounts payable for both Corporate and Property. This position will establish policies, procedures, controls. In additions, the shared services manager ensures effective and efficient processing of these functions, including reconciliation to applicable ledgers. AP/Daily responsibilities: Managing the accounts payable in a shared services environment. Assist in executing strategy for JLL corporate initiatives. Leading and motivating the payables teams in order to achieve and maximize working capital targets. Manage a team of 25+ people and shares functional responsibility over people at non-US locations Monthly reporting of key performance indicators. Introduce and evolve effective reporting and assessment tools to minimize risk and proactively identify problem areas. Lead Vendor and Customer Master Data Governance processes and reviews, including evaluation and verification of bank account updates for vendor remittances and support fraud prevention. Complete monthly metrics on DPO and actively participate in working capital improvement initiatives. Update and maintain department policies and procedures, including SOX and internal control documentation. Develops, implements and maintains system, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and improve working capital turnover. Manages accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger as relates to accounts payable accuracy and timeliness. Assist with audits to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained. Assist with integration of acquisitions. Special projects as assigned by management. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degreerequired. Supervisory experience including directing supervisors and staff. 7+ years AP/AR accounting & general financeexperience. Experience in a shared services environment preferred. Experience in PeopleSoft (v9.2), Yardi or Enterprise One is strongly preferred. Offshoring and process improvements. Internal and external audit compliance, preferably experience with SOC1 audits. LANGUAGE SKILLS: The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals & auditreports. It requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The position requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. JOB SKILLS Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. ERP software experience (PeopleSoft (v9.2), Yardi or Enterprise experiencepreferred). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
