What Does an Administrative Assistant II - Training/Fire Prevention Do? Under the general supervision of a Deputy Chief and Director of the Fire Prevention Bureau, this position performs a variety of routine and complex administrative work in keeping official records, providing administrative support to the Training Division and the Fire Prevention Bureau staff and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of both Divisions.

This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school with courses in typing, shorthand or transcription as well as two (2) years progressively responsible clerical experience, including taking/transcribing meeting minutes.
Additionally, successful candidates will have thorough knowledge of use of computers and common programs, ideally with the Google Suite and Canva (or a similar design program).
We're also looking for someone with the ability to type accurately at a working rate of speed, work independently and efficiently, communicate effectively and establish/maintain satisfactory working relationships with Village staff and the public.
What Will You Get Paid? This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position anticipated to work approximately 34 hours per week with a hiring range of $24.
72/hr - $27.
87/hr (DOQ).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
